Prepster's First LL Bean Boots

A milestone happened for me a couple of days ago, that I felt I had to document. I recieved my very own pair of L.L Bean boots. 

Now don't laugh at me. Everyday is full of moments worth celebrating, and I believe that acknowledging and appreciating them will lead to a happier and fuller life. 

I know that I will walk many of hundreds of miles, and weather many a storm in these boots and someday I will look back at when the leather was clean and uncreased, and I was taking the first steps in a journey of lord knows how many years. It's at moments like those that I will be especially grateful that I have this blog. 

All sappiness aside-Bean boots are a fantastic investment that more than pay for themselves in cost-per-use. Before being surprised with this pair, I was wearing my mother's boots from her prep-school days 30 years ago. And guess what? They were still holding up!
